Escape

Exodus  14:15-16

Then the Lord said to Moses “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving! Use your shepherds staff- hold t out over the water, and a path will open up before you through the sea.”

So there they were standing in panic at the sea in front and the Pharaoh’s troops behind. They were crying out to the Lord, they were yelling at Moses as if he misled them, all in all they had misplaced their faith for a moment.

We all go through life with some sort of problem at times , where it looks to be bad in front and behind as if being stuck. Like I always say “God has a Plan” and all we need to do is have faith. God will always provide us with a solution. Unfortunately many of us lose the faith so we miss it and we stay at the waters edge in panic. Then we blame God for not making a path for us. I promise you that there is always a path, sometimes we just don’t want to make the hard choices’ in life to take it. We get stuck with what we want rather than Gods plan.

Promise of Deliverance

Exodus Chapter 6, Promise of Deliverance

“Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh“, the Lord told Moses.

Many of you may still be in doubt about The Lord and his might, but do you really believe that Moses being just a man could deliver the slaves without any Divine intervention by God? Think about it for a moment…..

The Lord tells him to go tell Pharaoh to let the slaves go, as expected he is laughed at and sent away. The Lord tells him to go back, again he is shunned, then the slaves are treated extremly bad by Pharaoh as punishment and they start to turn from Moses. Moses feeling down and not very convinced is told by the Lord “When he feels my powerful hand upon him, he will let the people go. In fact he will be so anxious to get rid of them that he will force them to leave his land!”

Now without going into too much detail (trying to keep the post short), God used his power and sent 10 plagues upon Egypt. Water to blood, Frogs, Gnats, Flies, Livestock, Boils, Hail and Fire, Locusts, Darkness and finally Death of the first born.

Could Moses being just a man create all of this “Hell on Earth?” Was it just chance that all of these things happened only for the Pharaoh to eject the slaves from Egypt just as God said would happen? Not even the greatest magician could pull of such feats without a mojor Hollywood production crew (which was not around back then). Look below at some examples of how it would have looked and you will realize this was the work of God.

  Now you decide…………….

Not By Chance

Yes I titled this one Not By Chance. You have to one day realize what I have come to realize and that is that there is always a purpose in Gods Plan and he has control. Many of you might say “that’s ridiculous and things just happen some times”. I assure you it is very different.

This is why I love Exodus and the story of Moses. Here was a man that was chosen even before he was born to do something so significant that it helped to change the world at the time leaving a legacy for all eternity.

Do you think it was just chance that he was placed in a basket and sent down stream only to be found by a daughter of Pharaoh? Moses and his mother were so blessed that the Pharaoh’s daughter had Moses’ own mother take care of him without knowing she was his mother in the first place. Then when he was older he was brought back to the princess and she adopted him into the royal family. That was just one NOT BY CHANCE situation in his life and we all know that there were many to follow.  I could go on and on about this, but I will leave you to ponder that for now.
