In the begenning God created the Heavens and the Earth.  The Earth was empty, a formless mass cloaked in darkness. The spirit of God was hovering over it’s surface. Then God said, “Let there Be Light ” and there was light. (Genesis)

Just as in the beginning God creates new beginnings for us each and every day of our lives. He creates new days filled with opportunities, relationships, situations for us to grow.  Every day that we awake from the dark nights that we sleep, God has created a new day.

What we choose to do with it all is left to us. Some of us embrace every day with enthusiasim while others feel empty and formless (so to speak). The one thing that we are all blessed with and share in common is the ability to choose what we will do with the newley created day ahead of us. We can choose to get out of bed and go to work. We can choose to stay home, it is all up to us.

Just as it says in Genesis, The Earth was cloaked in darkness. Then God said, “Let there Be Light ” and there was light. All God had to do was think it and it was to be. God has given us this incredible ability as well. All we have to do is think and pray what we wan’t our day to be filled with.

Will it be light…. Or will it be cloaked in darkness?
